Classes
Class objects represent programming classes used by IT to implement systems.

Diagrams can be created directly in the iGrafx Platform via web browser or created with the iGrafx Client and added to a repository. This page discusses diagrams created via the web.
Problem
The iGrafx Platform allows you to create reusable objects in the repository that represent your enterprise's processes and activities, strategies, goals, performance indicators, risks, resources, and more. The data corresponding to these objects can then be correlated to show how these various objects support the work of the enterprise.
External Agent objects represent factors that are external to your enterprise, such as customers, financial institutions (banks), or suppliers.
A Glossary object consists of one or more Terms, where each Term has a corresponding definition, purpose, or other type of explanation you may want to enter for the Term. The Term itself is also an object. You can define multiple glossaries in your repository; for example, you may create a glossary consisting of terms/concepts relevant to an entire organization, to a specific department (e.g., Human Resources), or a specific Line of Business.
Often times a user will want to move multiple objects to a new location, or delete a selection of objects from more than one folder. The iGrafx Platform provides the full screen tree view for certain types of batch operations to achieve this.
The repository's Interfaces Folder contains Interface, Service, and Operation objects that represent the services offered by a resource, often a physical resource such as a computer system. For example, the ordering system for a supplier offers an interface to interact with programmatically.
Navigate the Enterprise Model
Performance indicators can report on internal factors (management, production, marketing, and finance) or external factors (economic, ecological, legal, and social). A Performance indicator can report the value of any quantifiable point in an enterprise model, and can record and report measurable characteristics of any diagram shape or enterprise object. Performance indicators can also be related to other objects, such as Requirements or Controls.
Process objects represent the series of actions involved in producing the products or services provided by your enterprise—a sequence of operations and events that produce an outcome. Process objects can be composed of other Processes (sub-processes) or Activities, often indicated by increasing levels of detail, related together in a hierarchical structure. The set of Process and Activity objects define the enterprise process 'landscape' or 'architecture.'
Requirement objects describe requirements—statements of individual expectations to be fulfilled—for other, key enterprise objects, and can include business, financial, technical, and other kinds of requirements. A requirement details a necessary quality or performance demanded of your organization. For example, review and improvement of processes for ISO 9001 certification.
Resource objects represent the resources required to perform processes, including organizational structure, functional roles, people, tools such as computer systems and physical equipment, physical locations, and information technology (IT) architecture.
The iGrafx Platform has two types of risk objects: Risk and Risk Instance.
Shortcuts allow you to place links to certain repository items in the repository folders or objects to which they are relevant. This has the obvious benefit of allowing you to propagate these items at other appropriate locations in the repository without having to duplicate them.
Strategy objects describe a long-term plan of action to achieve a particular Goal. They serve to group related Strategies, Goals, and Performance Indicators. Strategy objects reside in the Strategies top-level repository tree folder. Strategy objects can contain component (child) Strategy objects.
Table objects are tabular displays of Performance Indicator data. Table objects can be displayed in Dashboards like , and also appear in Performance Tree gadgets when created inside a repository folder that is included in a Performance Tree view.
Work Product objects are the data, information, or business objects that flow between External Agents, Processes, and Activities. For example, a Work Product can be the order for a physical product that the enterprise produces, such as a golf club. A Work Product Outgoing object indicates the activity or process creates the object. An Incoming Work Product object implies the activity or process must receive the Work Product input before the work at that process or activity starts.
