Add a Performance Indicator

You can add and delete data for a performance indicator on the Data tab. You can also use the Data tab to create a rollup performance indicator that aggregates data from other, child performance indicators.

The iGrafx Platform provides charting capabilities for Performance Indicators using time-based, category-based, and rollup data.

Purpose: A rollup performance indicator is a metric that aggregates and summarizes individual time-based performance indicators to provide an overall measure of performance across time.

Performance indicators can report on internal factors (management, production, marketing, and finance) or external factors (economic, ecological, legal, and social). A Performance indicator can report the value of any quantifiable point in an enterprise model, and can record and report measurable characteristics of any diagram shape or enterprise object. Performance indicators can also be related to other objects, such as Requirements or Controls.

To calculate the rollup of performance indicator values in an object tree hierarchy, an aggregation algorithm is used.

Table objects are tabular displays of Performance Indicator data. Table objects can be displayed in Dashboards like , and also appear in Performance Tree gadgets when created inside a repository folder that is included in a Performance Tree view.
